FORECAST:
- A week of rising heat and humidity is expected, with temperatures projected to climb from the low 90s on Monday to the upper 90s by Thursday.
- Combined with humidity, the heat index could reach as high as 105 degrees by midweek, while the chances for rain remain low throughout the period.
- One thing we have to watch is for storms developing well to our northwest each day that could make a run at the mountains.
- Odds are those stay far north of our area, but it’s something to watch.
