FORECAST:
- A major temperature change starts out the new work week.
- Temperatures today will be nearly 30 degrees colder than the record high we saw on Sunday, with highs in the lower 50s.
- Clouds should thin out a bit later this afternoon, but don’t get used to it. We won’t likely see any more sun for the bulk of the rest of the week.
- Light rain starts up on Tuesday and this will lock down our temperatures to the lower 40s.
- Heavier rains come in midweek, with several inches possible by the end of the week (especially in the high country).
- Speaking of the mountains, they’ll also deal with some icy weather on Tuesday, with freezing rain and some sleet.
- This could lead to icy travel up there. No threat for any ice for the rest of the area.
