FORECAST: Heat and humidity crank up this weekend

FORECAST:

• We’re cranking up the heat and humidity this weekend with temperatures climbing into the low 90s but feeling more like the upper 90s to near 100 degrees.
• We’ll watch for a few showers or storms to bubble up with the heating of the day providing some isolated relief.
• The best chance for storms will be in the High Country, though we can’t rule out a stray storm over the Charlotte area.
• Watch for heavy rain and lightning with anything that develops.
• We’ll continue with this pattern next week as temperatures climb even higher into the mid-90s with isolated storm chances nearly every day.
