GASTONIA, N.C. — Construction is underway in Gastonia for one of the first Whataburger restaurants in North Carolina.
The Gaston Gazette reports the restaurant will open in late spring along East Franklin Boulevard in the space where Backyard Burgers once stood.
Three other Whataburger locations will open in the Charlotte area this summer, including restaurants on Albemarle Road and in Hickory and Indian Land, South Carolina.
