WAXHAW, N.C. — A Waxhaw man is suing his former business partners after they allegedly booted him from their shared residential building and renovation company.
Andrew Cordell filed the lawsuit in North Carolina Business Court on June 23 against defendants Brendan Gelson, Mason Harris and Kyle Tudor. The filing alleges the defendants took unjust actions against him following a March disagreement over company operations.
Cordell, Gelson, Harris and Tudor formed Dapper Development on March 20, 2020, and related LLC Tantalum on Jan. 22, 2021. Dapper is a Waxhaw-based real estate investment, development and management company. Upon its formation, all four men held a 25% stake in the company. They also enacted a business agreement that stated no member can act on behalf of Dapper or Tantalum without majority support from other members, according to a North Carolina limited liability company operating agreement.
