UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Construction of a roundabout in Union County is taking longer than expected.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said the roundabout at the intersection of Potter and Wesley Chapel roads would be done by Sept. 1.
NCDOT said it will now be completed by Sept. 12.
Detours start directly across from Wesley Chapel Elementary School where students are already back in class.
