CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers are honing in on their next opponent after a preseason win over Arizona in Canton last week.
Head Coach Dave Canales told reporters Carolina’s starters will play against Buffalo, with a similar snap count as the starting lineup from the Hall of Fame Game.
The intensity during practice Monday remained high, with a fight erupting during the team period.
After practice, veteran defensive backs Nick Scott and Mike Jackson were both spotted speaking at length with Bryce Young, Scott said, to “talk that through.”
“At this point in camp, there’s a level of physicality that naturally happens,” said Scott. “A part of that is we haven’t seen a different color in a long, long time.”
“That’s part of the game, you want it, but at the same time there’s an aspect of protecting the team and guys that you’re going to need on Sunday.”
The Panthers have a scheduled day off Tuesday, before returning for practices Wednesday and Thursday.
Saturday’s preseason game in Buffalo kicks off at 1 p.m., and airs on Channel 9.
