CHARLOTTE — A former employee with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has been accused of recording himself having sex with a student.
According to police reports, an anonymous person came forward at West Mecklenburg High School on Friday.
That person said an adult was having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old girl.
An investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Jaylon Little. Little has been charged with exploitation of a minor and sexual activity with a student.
According to CMS, Little no longer works for the district. He resigned on September 20, 2024, and indicated the reason was for better pay.
He was employed at West Mecklenburg High School as a Title I Assistant from November 20, 2023, to September 20, 2024, according to CMS.
In a message to families, CMS said:
“Good evening, West Mecklenburg families. This is Principal Bundrick. We are reaching out to let you know that a former member of our staff was arrested last Friday.
