CHARLOTTE — CMPD identified the person found dead on an American Airlines plane at Charlotte-Douglas Airport late last month.
Police believe 25-year-old Jose De Leon Santiz stowed away on the plane, which made trips between Charlotte, Madrid, and Frankfurt, Germany.
Maintenance workers found Santiz’s body in a wheel well. CMPD said that Guatemalan Consulate notified his family.
They did not say where he may have gotten onboard the plane.
