Six injured in east Charlotte crash, shuts down stretch of Independence Boulevard

CHARLOTTE — MEDIC responded to an accident in the 7500 block of East Independence Boulevard on Saturday.

Six were injured, one with life-threatening injuries, MEDIC said.

Four vehicles were involved. The incident took place in front of the CarMax on Independence Boulevard.

Outbound Independence from East WT Harris to Calibre Crossing Drive will be shut down until further notice.

No additional details have been made available.
