PHOTOS: Car carrier gets lodged under gas station awning

CHARLOTTE — A car carrier got stuck under a gas station awning Wednesday morning in northwest Charlotte.

The incident happened at the Citgo/ Jerry’s Mini Mart on Mount Holly Road at Hansard Drive.

The building was safe and the area was secured when Charlotte Fire got there.

Later in the day, Channel 9 saw the awning removed and on the ground. The pumps were also taken out.

There were no injuries.

No additional details have been made available.
