CHARLOTTE — A pedestrian is seriously hurt after they were hit by a car in east Charlotte Monday morning.
It happened just after 6 a.m. on Eastway Drive near Central Avenue.
MEDIC said the person struck was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of Eastway Drive was shut down until around 8:30 a.m. while police investigated.
Channel 9 is asking if the driver is cooperating with police and if they will face any charges.
