CHARLOTTE — All lanes of Interstate 85 northbound at Brookshire Boulevard were shut down Tuesday, the North Carolina Department of Transportation said.
Just after 7 a.m., Traffic Team 9′s Mark Taylor reported on what NCDOT called an “incident” impacting traffic in the area.

In a statement released round 7:30 a.m., the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department encouraged drivers to look for alternate routes. Around that same time, MEDIC said the incident under investigation was related to a “psych/suicide attempt.”
Just before 9 a.m., Mark Taylor reported all lanes had reopened.
