CHARLOTTE — Part of Monroe Road is closed throughout the weekend for a utility project.
The inbound lanes are blocked near Idlewild Road so crews can install a water main and sewer tap.

Drivers will be diverted to Conference Drive to Idlewild Road back to Monroe Road.
All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.
