MONROE, N.C. — The Monroe Police Department said they found a truck and the driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian lying in the median of West Roosevelt Boulevard early Wednesday morning.
Around 7:28 a.m., a Monroe police officer discovered the man in the 2200 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard. The pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, and the driver fled the scene.
The injured pedestrian was transported to a Charlotte-area hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Police didn’t provide any details about an arrest.
