CHARLOTTE — A man is behind bars after police said he spit in a little boy’s face at SouthPark Mall.
Malik Shropshire was charged with assault on a child under 12 and second-degree trespassing.
The arrest warrant states on Sunday, he spit in a four-year-old boy’s face at the mall’s child play area and then ran off.
Police arrested him later at a nearby Walgreens.
Officers said he was already banned from that store and the mall.
