Gastonia K-9 finds missing child safely

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — K-9 Bo with the Gastonia Police Department helped locate a missing 11-year-old Sunday evening.

Officials say the Belmont Police Department requested Bo’s bloodhound tracking abilities to find the child.

Bo led his handler, Sgt. David Rowland, to the child. Police say the child was found safely hiding behind a pine tree near a home.

Thankfully, the child wasn’t hurt and safely reunited with family.
