GASTON, N.C. — Gaston County man Eddie Graham won a $1 million grand prize after entering a second-chance drawing.
Graham told the North Carolina Education Lottery that he has been entering into second-chance drawings — and only second-chance drawings — for years. And it is finally paying off.
The drawing received more than 1.6 million entries, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.
Graham decided to take a lump sum award, and took home $430,500 after taxes, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.
“I can use this to take care of my daughter and granddaughter,” he told the N.C. Education Lottery.
