Residents could be seen standing outside of their apartment building as crews worked to put a fire Sunday afternoon.
Charlotte fire officials say they were called to the 700 block of West Tremont Ave just after 1 p.m. for a reported apartment fire.
When crews got on scene they say they could see flames coming from a fourth floor balcony.
Officials say 30 firefighters responded to the fire and it took them approximately 14 minutes to get it under control.
Fortunately, no residents or firefighters were injured in the fire.
The Charlotte Fire Department is working to determine the cause of the fire.
