Five new shops coming to Camp North End

CHARLOTTE — Five retailers have signed on at Camp North End.

The storefronts will operate on the ground floor of Camp North End’s first residential community, Kinship West, ATCO Properties and Management announced on Friday.

Cell Therapy, House of Akasi, The Zen Cave, Fitteds, and Deco Beauty Club are all set to open later this year.

Cell Therapy is a salon and barbershop by siblings Davita and Dion Galloway, founders of Dupp & Swat at Camp North End. The salon will offer haircuts, hairstyling and braids, facials, makeup, brow waxing and nail services, and will operate Tuesday through Saturday.

Paper Skyscraper to open third shop in Lake Norman

House of Akasi is a boutique by Courtnye Jackson, who launched the brand as an online clothing shop in 2020. The concept has evolved to include tropical-inspired candles, home goods, pet items, and spa-worthy body care featuring health-conscious ingredients. The shop will be open from Tuesday to Saturday and Jackson will also host workshops and candle-making classes.

Tattoo artist Tia Wilson is behind The Zen Cave. She specializes in botanical and ornamental tattoos. The shop will have multiple tattoo stations and also sell items such as crystals and sage. The studio will operate Wednesday through Sunday initially with plans to eventually transition to seven days a week.

Giovanni Brown’s custom hat retailer Fitteds is moving from Camp North End’s Keswick Platform to Kinship. Brown opened his shop at Camp North End in 2023 and sells custom one-off New Era and Mitchell & Ness hats, including officially licensed MLB, MBA, and NFL products. The majority of the items are custom designed and sold exclusively in store. Once up and running at its new spot, Brown plans to host events, including pop-ups and collaborations. The store plans to be open Tuesday through Sunday.

Nail artist and owner Alexandra Cuadros will open Deco Beauty Club, a private nail art studio. The studio specializes in intricate hand-painted nail art and Russian-style manicures using high-quality builder gel products. Services are offered by appointment only Tuesday through Sunday.
