MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Thousands lined Main Street in Mooresville on Tuesday afternoon for the town’s annual Christmas parade, a long-running tradition so popular that families set out chairs before sunrise.
City officials said Mooresville has had a Christmas parade along Main Street for 81 years. Schools in the area let out around lunchtime so children can make it in plenty of time.
In the video at the top of this webpage, Channel 9’s Dave Faherty spoke with many who believe having it before Thanksgiving is the perfect time for a holiday parade.
