Coaching Pay Gap: NC lags behind SC, Georgia, and Alabama

CHARLOTTE — When it comes to pay, North Carolina high school football coaches are far behind other states.

According to the Charlotte Observer, only four coaches in our state make over $100,000.

The paper cited a study from the state, which showed 34 coaches in South Carolina topped $100,000.

Six coaches in Georgia and Alabama make over $148,000.
