CHARLOTTE — A student was involved in an accident while crossing a street near Mint Hill Monday morning, a spokesperson with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said.
It happened in the 7300 block of Lebanon Road, near Milton Morris Drive in Mint Hill, with MEDIC confirming they were at the scene just before 8 a.m.
According to CMS, the student – who attends Independence High School – was “involved in an accident” while crossing the street near Lebanon Road Elementary.
“As the safety and security of our students is our priority, we wanted to make you aware of this incident,” officials said in message sent to Independence High School families.
Around 8:20 a.m., MEDIC said one patient involved in the accident was transported to Atrium CMC with serious injuries. Another patient with minor injuries was treated at the scene.
