CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg School leaders say they need $37 million more next year with most of that going to increasing pay for employees.
District leaders highlighted some of the early needs during Tuesday night’s board meeting, The Observer reported.
Teacher pay is a large part of that increase.
CMS Superintendent Crystal Hill will present an official budget recommendation on March 24.
