CMPD searching for missing 79-year-old man

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a 79-year-old man who has been reported missing.

Police said Kenneth Wayne Williams was last seen leaving his home on Tisbury Road. around 10 p.m.

He was wearing burgundy sweatpants, a grey t-shirt, and a black winter coat.

Family members told police that they were concerned about Williams’ safety.

Anyone with information about this whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
