CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte teen is using his love for Christmas lights to raise money for a good cause.
Matt Desrochers, a junior at Ardrey Kell High School, created a light show synched with music in his yard for Christmas.
The display has over 7,000 lights which took months to plan and set up using a computer program that matches lights to music.
People who enjoy the show can donate to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of the Carolinas.
“It’s made me feel great,” Desrochers said.

He said his display last year raised $1,500 for research into treatments for Crohn’s and Colitis.
