Charlotte City Council to discuss transit authority appointments

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte City Council will discuss on Monday how they will appoint members to the new transit authority.

More than 100 people have applied to serve on the Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority, which will be formed if the sales tax increase for transit passes next month.
