Belmont police investigating series of car break-ins

BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Police Department is searching for a suspect who allegedly stole a car and broke into several others.

The incident occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19.

Police said the crimes happened along Clay Street, Mingus Street, Todd Street, and Reid Street.

Residents are being asked to review their surveillance cameras for any activity that may help police with their investigation.
