2 people shot in south Charlotte, MEDIC says

CHARLOTTE — Two people were shot in south Charlotte Wednesday morning, according to MEDIC.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the scene around 11:45 a.m. and saw officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department surrounding a house on Peaceful Glen Road.

Police and a K-9 were spotted searching a nearby park before moving to adjacent businesses.

A woman at the scene told Channel 9 that her parents were shot in a domestic-related incident. She also alluded to the fact that the suspect in this case may be her sister’s boyfriend.

She said they believe he went into the home Wednesday morning and shot her mother as she slept before shooting her father.

The victims had life-threatening injuries and were taken to Atrium Health CMC.

CMPD has not announced any arrests in this case.
