WESLEY CHAPEL, N.C. — A 75-year-old man was killed in a house fire early Thursday morning in Wesley Chapel, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Belair Street. Crews said the house was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival.
Fire crews had to close part of New Town Road near Billy Howie Road.
Henry Morris was found dead in the home near a side door, according to deputies.
The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was accidental, caused by either a space heater or discarded smoking material.
